featuring the St. Mary’s Children’s Choir – director Eileen Baldwin
Oh sweet butterfly in the sky, how does it feel to fly so high?
If only I had wings like you, I’d be up there with you too.
My little friend you’d lead the way as we would float and play all day,
Dancing merrily in the sun, bringing joy to everyone.
Sipping nectar with delight, In the garden coloured bright.
Like rainbow jewels on the flowers, happily we’d pass the hours.
Flipping, flopping, twisting, twirling,
Slipping, sliding, swiftly swirling,
Through our playground in the air,
Where we’d soar without a care.
Together we’d have lots of fun,
Smiling until the day was done.
The sun has set, the moon now gleams,
I’ll fly with you in my dreams.
