LYRICS
Ebenezer Scrooge was a mean old man
A very, very mean old man
He wouldn’t give a penny to the poorest mite
Kept all his money locked up tight
And when he was told how mean he was
He simply replied “Bah! Humbug!”
Ebenezer Scrooge was a mean old man
A very, very mean old man
He didn’t like his family, he didn’t like his friends
Couldn’t care less if the world came to an end
Scrooge was often he would say
“Bah! Humbug!”
But then one night, while fast asleep
He suddenly felt very scary
Three eerie ghost called out to him
“Scrooge, you had better be wary.”
They told him he was bad, bad, bad.
His life was really sad, sad, sad.
Poor Scrooge could hardly catch his breath
These ghosts had scared him half to death
Old Scrooge thought he was really dead.
But to his own amazement he was in his own bed.
Ebenezer danced and laughed ’till be cried
Shouted “Merry Christmas” to all outside
Loved all his family, loved all his friends
Made up his mind he would make amends.
Ebenezer Scrooge was a kind old man
A very, very kind old man
He sent lots of food to the poorest mites
Used all his money to do what’s right
And when he was told how kind he was
He simply replied “Merry Christmas”
