LYRICS

I’m a camel – I’m called Humpy

For my back is very humpy
Through the desert I do go
Very steady, usually slow

I can be found in many places
In sandy desert or an oasis
I’ve been replaced – though in the city
By car and buses, more’s the pity

I am part of caravan
Much more use than truck or van
I am sure the I was planned
‘Specially for the desert sand.

Though I don’t eat a lot of food,
At certain times, when in the mood
And I feel hungry, I’ll take a snack
From the two humps upon my back.

There are some, ’tis a fact
Only have on hump on back
Two are not necessary
If you are a dromedary

Now hear my song
“Tea-la-la-lee”
Oh, will you sometimes
Please think of me

And when you’re down or feeling blue
Think how I feel in the zoo.
