My life goes on from day to day:
the times go by unnoticed
except when they are badly out of joint;
but then a strange conjunction seems

to hail a deeper meaning;

in this I may discern a turning point.

some may discern an unseen hand
shaping everybody’s end.
But I’m just grateful that such moments can be ours.

And when a chance encounter brings
someone to share our living,

that love has found and claimed us

and sustain us through life’s running ebb and flow.
