LORRAINE HÉTU MANIFOLD
Born in Montreal, Canada, Lorraine Hétu Manifold is a choral conductor, composer, singing teacher and vocal pedagogue whose musical life has taken her around the world. She has lived in Canada, Belgium, Israel, Hungary, the United States and Australia, before immigrating to Australia in 2012. A passionate choral singer herself, Lorraine has performed with Les Chœurs de l’Union Européenne in Brussels and toured with the Voices of Bahá throughout Europe, the Caribbean and India, including a treasured performance at Carnegie Hall.
Beauté de Véritable, la

SATB a cappella – CP 2594 – duration 3:10
La Beauté du Véritable was born from a deeply personal response to the words of ‘Abdu’l-Bahá and Bahá’u’lláh. Throughout my life, I have been saddened by the way many societies place such importance on a women’s outward appearance, sometimes valuing beauty and youth above women’s accomplishments, abilities and the beauty of their inner character.
