Feathered birds and wooly sheep
all stood by to watch the Baby sleep
Ox and ram and horse stood by

Shepherds were guarding flocks by night
when the angels gave them a terrible fright
They told all the men to have no fear
but travel quickly for your King is near

Wisemen travel from afar
guided by the Eastern star
to view the birth of the Holy One
the King of all Kings and God’s own Son

Why was Jesus, the Lord of all
born in a stable cattle stall
God’s plan for salvation began this way
