if only just a little bit.

by Eleanor Daley

SATB with piano – KH 063 – duration 4:35

There are loyal hearts, there are spirits brave,

O Be Joyful in the Lord

by Eleanor Daley

SATB with organ or piano – KH 075 – duration 3:35

Psalm 100 is one of the happiest poems. Eleanor’s setting of the ancient text would make a wonderful introit or benediction to any service or program.

• O be joyful in the Lord, all ye lands : serve the Lord with gladness,
and come before his presence with a song.
• Be ye sure that the Lord he is God : it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves;
we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
• O go your way into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise :
be thankful unto him, and speak good of his Name.
• For the Lord is gracious, his mercy is everlasting :
and his truth endureth from generation to generation.
• O be joyful in the Lord, all ye lands,

O Lord, Support Us

by Eleanor Daley

SATB a cappella – KH 077 – duration 1:25

This beautiful prayer, from the Book of Common Prayer, is dedicated to the memory of Dr. Elmer Iseler (1927-1998). Dr. Iseler was a prominent figure in the choral world and one of Canada’s treasures. Eleanor’s composition would make a fitting benediction for almost any occassion.
O Lord, support us all the day long
until the shadows lengthen and evening comes,
and the busy world is hushed,
and the fever of life is over
and our work is done;

then in thy great mercy,
grant us safe lodging,
and holy rest,
and peace at the last,
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.
