Farewell to Nova Scotia

arr. by Wendy Nixon Stothert

SSAA a cappella    –    CP 1525   – 2:25
The arrangement of this timeless classic Canadian folksong was created for the Canadian Military Wives Choir in Comox, an ensemble of formidable women who originate from all parts of Canada, including Nova Scotia.     This song tells the story of a man who adores his homeland and family, but is being called away to war. The beckoning drums and the sound of the waves can be heard. There are solo or small group opportunities in this lilting, upbeat setting.
