Sophia Colpitts’ Good Old Days reflects on the quiet realization that meaningful moments in life often pass unnoticed until they become memories. It draws inspiration from words spoken by Andy Bernard in the iconic TV show The Office: “I wish there was a way to know you’re in the good old days before you’ve actually left them. Someone should write a song about that.” [Season 9, Episode 27]. This poignant piece blends emotional honesty and expressive harmonies, inviting us to appreciate the present before it slips away. Good Old Days was premiered by the Vancouver Youth Choir in May 2023.

Is there a way to know If I am in the good old days
Before they are gone?

Before I go on?
