PAUL K. McKAY (1940-2016) was involved in Church music since 1950 when he began his musical training at St. Michael’s Cathedral Choir School in Toronto. He studied piano, organ, and vocal music. He received his A.R.C.T. (Organ) Diploma in 1961 and his Bachelor of Music degree in 1964.
 
Paul taught Band, Orchestra and Vocal Music for the Etobicoke Board of Education for 32 years, retiring in 1997. He was also a Musician and then Band Officer at H.M.C.S. YORK, Toronto’s Naval Reserve Division, and retired after 25 years with the Rank of Lieutenant Commander in 1995.
 
He was an Organist / Choir Director in a number of Churches, Anglican, Roman Catholic, and United. An Oakville resident, he was part of the Music Staff at St. James Parish in Oakville and is Minister for Music at Erin Mills United Church in Mississauga.
