Larry Nickel taught high-school music at MEI for 25 years (the Christmas chorus – pictured above – combined his 6 choirs) He returned to studies in 2003 and his doctoral thesis (Requiem for Peace), in 13 languages, has been performed over 25 times. (Greece, Sweden, Ukraine, Germany, Carnegie Hall)
Dr. Nickel became the owner and editor of Cypress Choral Music in 2010. He loves to meet choral musicians – one on one – at his favourite seafood restaurant in Vancouver. Cypress Choral Music now features over 200 Canadian composers.
