Approaching the Manger

by Kristopher Fulton

SSATB    –   CP 1112   – 2:00
Commissioned and recorded by Bruce Pullan and the UBC University Singers, this composition sets the Christmas story to a “breathless” 7/8 rhythm, culminating in a joyous crescendo of “bless this heavenly boy”.

Llega la Hora

by Kristopher Fulton

SSATB    –   CP 1113   – 5:35
Translated as the “Hour of Forgetting”, the profound lyrics by Kico Gonzales-Risso (in Spanish) depict a world of darkness and forgetting – Alzheimer’s. This mood is masterfully captured by K. Fulton in a slow, but dramatic and often dissonant work. He creates strong feelings of tension, that dissipate finally with the words “time is receding”.
