DONNA FORWARD-HOURIET
Donna Forward-Houriet (b. 1963) received her Bachelor of Music, Bachelor of Music Education as well as her Master’s Degree in Educational Technology, at the University of British Columbia. Her first musical accomplishment was accompanying Canadian Rhythmic Gymnast, Lori Fung, live on piano, during her Gold Medal performance in the 1984 Summer Olympic Games, in Los Angeles. For the next 6 years, Donna travelled the world extensively, accompanying Lori at competitions, performances and clinics. She then moved to Switzerland where she attended the Université de Genève and taught Music in an international school, in both English and French. Back in the Cariboo region of B.C., Donna has taught high school band, choir and guitar and accompanied many of the community musicals on piano. She is currently the accompanist for the 100 Mile House community choir, Eclectica, teaches French Immersion and Spanish, has private piano students and occasionally jams with local country bands!

Imagine a line of soldiers marching from the distance and passing by. This march would be perfect for Remembrance Day programs or any event concerning themes of war and peace. Donna wrote it for her high school choir. Community choirs will love it too.
