On top of her work with the Vancouver Youth Choir and Coastal Sound, Carrie has held conducting positions with the Vancouver Chor Leoni MYVoice Choir and the Sarah McLachlan Youth Choir. In 2012, Carrie worked as the assistant conductor to Diane Loomer with Chor Leoni,  and in January of 2013 Carrie succeeded Diane as Artistic Director of EnChor.

Currently, on top of her work with VYC, Carrie is an Affiliate Conductor with the Vancouver Chamber Choir, and a frequent clinician, adjudicator and retreat facilitator across Canada. A passionate advocate for building and sustaining community among BC choirs and conductors, in 2010 she helped found the "BC Choral Mentorship Project": a collective that brings together expert speakers/conductors from across North America with local choral directors for master classes, discussion groups and lectures.

“Canada has a wealth of fine Canadian choral composers and Cypress Choral Music is devoted to presenting and promoting their music to the world of choral singing. I love working with young people and some singers in the Vancouver Youth Choir used to sing in my High School choirs. Dr. Larry Nickel, a long time choral colleague and owner of Cypress, asked me to compile some of my favorite music for the youth choir. Please check out my selections by clicking the link below.”    Carrie
