George Roberts is a graduate of the School of Music UBC and the Vancouver Academy of Music. In thirteen seasons with the Vancouver Chamber Choir, he was a frequent soloist in concert, on recordings and in many CBC radio broadcasts. "Geordie" also performed with the a cappella quartet "Fourtissimo" for 10 years, specializing in vocal jazz and renaissance repertoire. He has adjudicated music festivals from Victoria to Winnipeg, and has facilitated choral workshops throughout BC. His solo career has included engagements with Early Music Vancouver, Pacific Baroque Orchestra, Trinity Western University, the Vancouver Symphony, Masterpiece Music and many community organizations in the Lower Mainland. For 17 summers, George has been the vocal instructor at the West Coast Family Music Festival, offering group instruction in vocal technique, song interpretation and diction for singers. He is an instructor in voice and the co-ordinator of the Music Department, Capilano University and  the Co-ordinator of Music at Highlands United Church, North Vancouver.  In addition to his busy singing and teaching career, George is also a gifted accompanist and coach. Geordie makes his home in North Vancouver with his wife, Frances, and sons, Aidan, Garreth and Liam.

A quasi-doo-wop SAB arrangement of an old gospel hymn, especially well-suited to teen and smaller choirs. Moderate range in all voices. Can also be performed using equal-voice choir (all men/all women).

Imagine a large number of expressions about time, cleverly strung together into a "story", and set to toe-tapping music - what can be more fun?? This delightful composition was commissioned by the BC Choral Federation for Senior's Chorfest 2003.

This is a relentlessly cheerful and up-beat anthem incorporating a well-known contemporary folk hymn. The piano (or organ) accompaniment is of moderate difficulty; the vocal parts are easily learned and there is a scriptural text.
